Joseph E. "Joe" Trump

July 2, 1971 — March 7, 2019

Joseph E. "Joe" Trump, 47, passed from his earthly life on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at his home in Clayton where he resided with his father, Bill Trump.  He found tremendous joy with the family and friends that loved him.  The antics and "adventures" he shared with his brothers, Donnie Trump and Tim Trump were many and could often curl your toes.  It took a village to raise them in their youth and beyond.  Joe's Grandparents, Ray and Dorothy Trump, Great Aunt and Uncle, Edna "Pie" and John Alexander, Aunt Susie Hine and Aunt Peggy Gray were a big part of that village.  Joe's first job was at Trump's Lawn Care that was started by his Grandfather where he and his brothers, Donnie Trump, Tim Trump, cousins John Chaille and Michelle Vaughn learned the meaning of hard work.  They were barely teenagers and their business flourished and became lucrative.  Joe won the State of Indiana, State Office Building contract for lawn care while still in high school.  He held many jobs as a young man but none were as near to his heart as mowing and the opportunity to talk to the people he met.  Joe graduated from Cascade High School, where he played football.  Some of his favorite things were pick-up trucks, cars, big rigs, boats, Nascar and country music.  He loved kids and sports.  He started coaching T-Ball and spent countless hours dragging the diamonds to prepare for the games.  He went on to umpire countless baseball games.  He enjoyed boating and boat racing and was elated to work in connection with the movie, "Madison", filmed in Madison, IN.  Joe was famous for his smile and unforgettable laughter.  After Joe's diagnosis of MS (multiple sclerosis), his life drastically changed.  He was proud of his golf cart and traveled near and far.  He faced many trials and tribulations and regretted all those things that he had taken for granted.  Like all of us he had a great number of regrets and searched long and hard to fill the hole missing within.  Joe had always been a believer but accepted the invitation to give his life to the Lord.  Joe professed his belief that Jesus Christ is the son of the living God and was baptized in 2018 at the Clayton Christian Church.  A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at 7:00 pm in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 pm until service time at 7:00 pm in the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers his father, Bill, has requested that any memorial donations be for the health care and rehabilitation of Joe's cousin, Michelle Vaughn, in the care of Susan Hine.
