Josephine Coy

Josephine Coy, 100, of Plainfield, passed away on December 18, 2019.  She was born in Vallonia, IN on August 15, 1919 to the late Victor and Suzanne Payne.  Josephine was a secretary for Curtis-Wright during WWII.  She was a dedicated mother and homemaker.  Josephine was a member of the Tri Kappa Sorority.  She was a Girl Scout leader when her children were younger.  Josephine enjoyed fishing with her husband in her free time.  She loved spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren.  Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, William Coy; brothers, Victor and Roy Keith Payne.  Funeral services will be Monday, December 23, 2019 at 1:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may visit from 11:00 am until time of service.  Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Survivors include her daughters, Carol Clapp, Linda (Bill Jones) Farley and Jane (Jeff) Weisman; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren.
