Joyce Bennett

Joyce Bennett, 85, of Plainfield, passed away on September 10, 2021.  She was born in Byrdstown, TN on September 3, 1936 to the late Walt and Ora Rich.  Joyce was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a dedicated homemaker.  She was a member of the Center Community Church in Plainfield.  Joyce enjoyed taking walks on the trails at the park.  She liked to cook and would always make sure everyone was full by the time dinner was done.  Joyce would often read her Bible in her free time.  She loved spending time with her family whenever she could.  Joyce was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Bennett; son, Ronnie Bennett; brother, Ord Rich; sisters, Helen Robinson and Beth Talbott; daughter in law, Sandy Bennett.  Visitation will be Thursday, September 16, 2021 at the Center Community Church (5938 Sugar Grove Road, Plainfield, IN 46168) from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.  Funeral services will be Friday, September 17, 2021 at 11:00 am in the church.  Burial will follow in Clayton Cemetery.  Survivors include her children, Sharon (James) Henderson, Barbara Bennett, Carl Bennett, Terry Bennett, Stacy (Kevin) Collester and Jama Bennett; sister, Katie Russell; 15 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren.
