Kathy J. Chancellor

Kathy J. Chancellor, 64, passed away on April 21, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of great stories, easy laughter, and unforgettable summers.

Born July 23, 1961, Kathy worked for many years as an import/export logistics specialist, then retired and fully embraced living life her way. She loved warm weather, working the yard like a boss, soaking up the sun by the pool or beach, and traveling — especially with her best friend Cindy Bacon, her favorite partner in fun. Kathy believed life was better with good company, plenty of laughs, and a well‑earned vodka and lemonade within reach.

Her proudest and happiest role was being “Grandma” to Alivia and Harbor, who were truly the light of her life.

Kathy is survived by her sons Jason (Jennifer) Nicolaou and Chris Nicolaou; brothers James and Greg Chancellor; sisters Sandra McClure, Bonnie Malone, Sharon Botts, and Clara Hobson; her grandchildren Alivia and Harbor Nicolaou; and her beloved best friend Cindy Bacon. She was preceded in death by her sisters Brenda Hedge and Doris “Jean” York, and her brother William “Bill” Chancellor.

She will be remembered for her love of fun, live music, work ethic, and being Grandma Kathy. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date — and stories are strongly encouraged.
