Kenneth Appleby

Kenneth E. Appleby, 95, of Plainfield, passed away on August 6, 2025.  He was born on November 30, 1929 in Indianapolis to the late Claude and Mildred Appleby.  Kenneth was a United States Army veteran.  He was a supervisor for 27 years with Farm Bureau and a supervisor for Joy Metal in Indianapolis before retiring.  Kenneth enjoyed reading, watching westerns and watching the Atlanta Braves in his free time.  He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorothy Appleby; daughters, Pat and Sandra Appleby; brothers, George and John Appleby.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025 at 1:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may visit from 11:00 am until the time of services at 1:00 pm.  Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Survivors include his son, Danny (Liz) Appleby; daughter, Susan Appleby; grandchildren, Mindy (Brett) Sullivan and Ken (Leslie) Appleby; great grandchildren, Reagan Sullivan, Daisy Appleby, Danny Appleby and Calvin Appleby.
