Larry D. Vest

Larry D. Vest, 75, of Plainfield, passed away on May 3, 2026.  He was born on June 5, 1950 in Xenia, OH to the late Ira and Eugenia Vest.  Larry was a United States Air Force veteran.  He worked various jobs for Cummins over the years.  Larry enjoyed reading and was a history buff.  He was also a jack of all trades.  Larry loved spending time with his family.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Survivors include his loving wife, Rachel Vest; son, Derek (Kristina) Vest; step children,  Erwin (Melinda) Layden, Virginia (Jon) Hurley, Brian (Megan) Layden and Caleb (Sarah) Allen;  sister, Sandra Duke; grandchildren, Brody and Jordan Vest; step grandchildren, Aurora Layden, Amelia Allen, Chloe Allen and Grace Graves.
