L. Pauline Record

L. Pauline Record, 86, of Avon, passed away on May 9, 2019.  She was born in Indianapolis on July 1, 1932 to the late William H. and Nora Kappel.  Pauline held many different job titles over the 30 plus years she worked for RCA.  She was a loving wife, mother and dedicated homemaker to her family.  Pauline enjoyed painting and gardening in her free time.  She was one of the original members at the Bridgeport United Methodist Church in Indianapolis.  Pauline was preceded in death by her brothers, George, Nathaniel and William M. Kappel; sister, Thelma Knopp.  Funeral services will be Monday, May 13, 2019 at 1:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may visit from 11:00 am until time of service.  Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Survivors include her loving husband of 65 years, Wayne Record; sons, Charlie (Shelly) and Paul (Janice) Record; brothers, Donald (Billie Sue) and Richard (Claudia) Kappel; sisters, Wilma Hastings and Nora Rose (Rocky) Kelly; grandchildren, David (Rachel) and Nathan (Sara) Record, Megan (Bob) Schaffner and Sarah Record; great grandson, Patrick Schaffner.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Meals On Wheels Indiana (P.O Box 40969 Indianapolis, IN 46240).
