Louise Jones

Louise Jones, age 80, of Indianapolis, passed away on the first of August, 2026. She was born on February 6, 1946 in Harlan County, Kentucky to the late Clifford Messer and Lily Mae (Ellis) Messer. She worked for Diamond Chain Company, a historic industrial roller chain manufacturer in Indianapolis for many years before retirement. Louise was an active member of  Christ Church in Plainfield. Her hobbies included shopping, playing bingo, taking various cruises with family and had an admiration for flowers. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clifford Messer and Lily Mae Messer; husband, Dudley Jones; sons, Clarence Davison and George Garmon; brother, Billy Ray Messer; sisters, Peggy Whitt and Erma Stone. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home beginning at 7:00 p.m., where family and friends may visit from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service. Survivors include her daughters, Anita (Tony) Mallette, Patricia L. Rains and Carol E. Cole; brother, Brian Messer; sisters, Daisy Meerick, Brenda Dowden and Tammy Messer; several grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren and several great great great grandchildren.
