Lucille May Hammer

Lucille May Hammer, 89, of Plainfield, passed away October 31, 2018.  She was born in Tell City, IN on May 26, 1929 to the late Frank and Bertha Eckert.  Lucille was a dedicated homemaker and loving mother.  She loved the beauty of nature, especially flowers.  Lucille loved gardening and quilting.  She was preceded in death by her husband, William Hammer; brother, Ralph Eckert.  Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 6, 2018 in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home at 11:00 am.  Visitation will be Monday, November 5, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm in the funeral home.  Burial will be in the North Branch Cemetery in Belleville.  Survivors include her daughter, Glenda (Rodrick) Mahan; son, Ralph (Sherry) Hammer; grandchildren, Crystal, Shawn, Dawn and Melissa; great grandchildren, Jami, Shae-Lynn, Wiley, Brady, Natalie, Mason and Gunnar; great great grandson, Caleb.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to the Gathering Together (147 N. Center St, Plainfield, IN 46168).
