Marian L. Arney

Marian L. Arney, 81, of Clayton, passed away May 22, 2019.  She was born September 17, 1937 to the late Jewell Ray and Dorothy (Schockley) Burris in Hendricks County, IN.  She worked 18 years in the accounting department of the Indiana State Board of Health until her retirement in 1997.  Marian is survived by her son, John D. (Patty) Edwards; a step-son, James Arney; two step-daughters, Pam (Don) Patterson; and Kim (Eric) Bennett; two grandchildren, Annette McGlothin and John D. Edwards; 3 great grandchildren, Desiree Vanier, Neva Vanier and Destiny Wright; and a great great grandson, Quentin Anderson; 5 step-grandchildren and 14 great step-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Arney.  Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, where friends may call on Tuesday from 11:00 am until service time at 1:00 pm.  Burial will follow in Clayton Cemetery.   www.hamptongentry.com
