Marita Jo Blessing

Marita Jo Blessing, 71, of Plainfield, passed away on March 29, 2024. She was born on January 9, 1953, in Indianapolis to the late Leo and Nellie (Mullinix) Blessing. She graduated from Plainfield High School in 1971 and from Purdue University in 1975 and was a Registered Dietitian. She worked as a consulting dietitian for many years at a number of hospitals, health care and senior care facilities throughout Indiana. Marita was accomplished in needle work and created many beautiful counted cross stitch pieces. In recent years, she had developed an  interest in quilting. Although Marita had no children of her own, she enjoyed following the activities of her four nieces and nephews. She will be buried in Maple Hill Cemetery in Plainfield, next to her parents, following a private service. She is survived by her brother, Michael Blessing.
