Martha E. Rushton

Martha E. Rushton, 94, of Avon, passed away January 23, 2020.  She was born July 10, 1925 to the late Roy and Mae (Moore) Merritt in Avon, IN.  She was a timing chain builder for Link-Belt for 25 years retiring in 1985.  Martha is survived by a son, Kenneth D. (Carolyn) Rushton; two daughters, Linda Smith and Melia Schrader;  8 grandchildren, Ginger (Mike) Garner, Carl (Angie) Summerlot, Jenny (JJ) Iovino, Maria (Mike Mullins) Hays,  Karen (Walter) Hill, Greg (Keri) Schrader, Doug (Amy) Schrader, and Jill (Todd) Albright; and 15 great grandchildren, Marissa (Chris) Thomas, Audrey Sims, Kaitlyn and Taylor Garner, Alora & Ivy Lynn Summerlot, Gigi, Maddie and Joey Iovino, Trey and Cole Hill, Camden Schrader, Jade & Chance Atwell, and Kage Albright; and two great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond E. Rushton, and a granddaughter, Nicole Hays.  Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 26, 2020 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield,  where friends may call on Sunday from 12 noon until service time at 2:00 pm.   Burial will be in New Winchester Cemetery.
