Mary Ann E. Shrum

Mary Ann E. Shrum, 95, of Plainfield, passed away January 1, 2018. She was born November 22, 1922 to the late Charles E. and Margaret (Gibson) Robertson in Belleville, IL. She was a member of Plainfield United Methodist Church, Tri Kappa, PEO, the Friday Club, various bridge clubs and a volunteer for Hendricks County Meals on Wheels. She worked at Gardner Advertising Agency in St. Louis and also the Bank of St. Louis, where she met her husband Warren. Mary Ann is survived by a son, Warren "Bud" (Cindy) Shrum Jr.; two daughters, Rebecca (Cary) Cervenka and Patricia L. (Michael) Soult; 4 grandchildren, Emily (Jeremy) Zucker, Warren (Kylie) Shrum III, Amanda (Eric) Leon, and Stephanie (Tad) Ferrell; and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren M. Shrum, and her great grandson, Anders Leon. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 20, 2018 in the Plainfield United Methodist Church, 600 Simmons St., where friends may call on Saturday one hour prior to services.
