Mary J. Basey

Mary J. Basey, 92, of Avon, passed away on June 22, 2025. She was born on October 27, 1932 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late John Nolan and Clara (Davis) Nolan. She worked as an assembler for Aircraft Electronics for 31 years before retiring in 1997. Mary enjoyed shopping and watching westerns. She was the oldest of 9 children, whom she helped raise. Mary is preceded in death by her first husband, Ellis Mayo, who passed in 1991; second husband, Lester Basey Jr.; brothers, John Nolan, Charles Nolan, Mike Nolan, Joseph Nolan; sisters, Martha Fallon, Edna Nuckles, Phyllis Bumps, Rose Marie Frank. A private grave side service will be held at Clayton Cemetery. Survivors include many nieces and nephews.
