Mary Marie Counter

Mary Marie Counter, 94, of Plainfield, passed away September 6, 2021.  She was born February 10, 1927 to the late Owen and Martha L. "Mattie" ( Jones) Pate in Evansville, IN.  She was a homemaker.  Mary is survived by her daughter, Susan L. Moore; a son, Roger D. "Rick" Kemp; a son-in-law, Phil Turner;  special friends, Larry and Rachel Vest; 6 grandchildren; and many great and great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Counter; a daughter, Geraldine L. Turner; a son-in-law, Butch Moore; a brother, Jack Pate; and two sisters, Helen Wilson and Dorothy Spencer.  Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 11:00 am in the Forest Hill Cemetery, Greencastle, IN.  Arrangements by Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield.
