Mary "Evelyn" Olinger

Mary "Evelyn" Olinger, 81, of Avon, passed away on November 20, 2017 surrounded by loving family members. She was born in Deerlick, KY on August 26, 1936 to the late Johnnie and Lillie (Lyons) White. Evelyn was a lab technician for Unilever of Indianapolis. She was a member of the First General Baptist Church of Indianapolis for 57 years. Not only was she a dedicated and loving mother but her grandchildren brought her great joy. Evelyn was preceded in death by her brothers, Ed, Willie, Elmer, and Melvin White; sisters, Viola Lyons & Margie Farmer; great granddaughter, Bella Rose Burnett. Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 11:00 am at Christ Church (550 St. Luke Drive, Plainfield, IN 46168). Visitation will be Monday, November 27, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield. Entombment will be at Maple Hill Cemetery. Survivors include daughters, Gloria (Timothy) Ratliff and Karen (Frankie) Hren; brother, Oscar White; sisters, Myrtle Pogue, Betty Joines, Jean Morrow, and Lil Walton; 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
