Mary Ann Robison passed peacefully on Friday, December 2, 2022, having attained the age of 90, at the United Pioneer Home in Luck, Wisconsin. She was born on July 17, 1932, to Arthur and Thelma (Copeland) Lucas, in New Palestine, Indiana. She graduated in 1950 from Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis. Mary was married to Carl R. Robison on May 5, 1951, in Clermont, Indiana. They lived their early years in Brownsburg, Indiana, before moving to Rockford, Illinois, and in 1991 to Bone Lake, Wisconsin. Following Carl’s death in 1995, Mary Ann returned to Plainfield, Indiana, where she lived until 2011, when she moved back to Bone Lake, Wisconsin to be near her daughter and family. The last 4 years were spent in the United Pioneer Home in Luck, Wisconsin.
During her lifetime she worked many years at Herff Jones in Indianapolis. She loved her family dearly and spent precious moments with them. Fond summertime memories include picking blackberries in Bone Lake, drinking root beer, and going fishing. She enjoyed reading and, as her eyesight worsened, switched to playing many games of Solitaire.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Thelma Lucas; husband Carl; son Melvin; sister Patricia Walden; brothers Melvin, Charles and Eugene Lucas; and a grandson.
She is survived by daughter Rebecca (Darrell) Frandsen, of Bone Lake and son Michael (Jenny) Robison of Florida; sister Susie Bereman; and brothers Kenny, Ray and Lindy Lucas. Also survived by grandson Darin (Cathy) Frandsen and 2 great granddaughters, Chloe and Eleanor; granddaughter Ann (Aaron) Williams; and grandson Aaron Robison.
Funeral services will be at the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home in Plainfield, Indiana on Monday, December 12, 2022. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, followed by services at 10:30. Burial will be at the Brownsburg Cemetery following the service.
