Max E. Newlin, age 84, of Plainfield, passed away peacefully while surrounded by loving family members on December 31, 2025. He was born on January 7, 1941 in Plainfield, Indiana to the late Lawrence "Red" Newlin and Edythe (White) Newlin. Max worked in security and was a fireman for Allison's Transmission for many years. He was a long time member of the Center Community Church in Plainfield. Max enjoyed farming, gardening, fishing, hunting and wood working in his spare time. He also raised beagles to become good hunting dogs. At times you could find him shooting rounds towards the back of his property. Max also had an admiration for old tractors. He had a deep devotion to his family and his faith. Max is preceded in death by his loving wife, Beverly Newlin and his son, Bradley Newlin. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home starting at 2:00 p.m., where family and friends may visit from 12:00 noon until time of services. Entombment will follow to Maple Hill Cemetery. Survivors include his daughters, Cindy (Randy) Evans and Susan (Doug) Huber; brother, Thomas (Nancy) Newlin; sister, Alice (Chris) Huus; grandchildren, Anthony and Steven Konechnik and Brandon (Brittany Kelly) Huber.
