Merry Louise Younkers

Merry Louise Younkers, 77, of Plainfield, passed away on May 29, 2025. She was born on June 8, 1947 in Gary, Indiana to the late Ted Zmuda and Elsie (Leonard) Zmuda. Merry Louise graduated from Crown Point High School in 1966. She later worked as a secretary for Inland Steel Company for 30 years before retiring in 1995. Merry Louise enjoyed crafting, gardening, traveling and spending quality time with friends, family and her dog, Wilson. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jack Younkers , who recently passed on May 18, 2025. There will be no visitation or Celebration of Life per her request. Survivors include her step-son, Gary (Amanda) Younkers; step-daughter, Brandy (Mike) Wyatt; sister, Sandra (Richard) Ruehl; niece, Suzanne (Manmeet Grewal) Ruehl and their children, Hanna and Sam Grewal; nephew, Douglas (Emily) Ruehl; Arrangements made by Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home.
