Michael Freitag

Michael Freitag, age 64, peacefully passed away in the evening of April 8, 2026. He was born to the late Hank Freitag Jr. and Elaine (Cunningham) Freitag in Indianapolis, Indiana on September 29, 1961. Michael worked as a chef for various restaurants including Grindstone Charley's. He enjoyed cooking, playing darts with his friends and attending the Indianapolis 500 race every May. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Hank and Ella Freitag; parents, Hank Freitag Jr. and Elaine Freitag; brother, Edward L. Freitag. Graveside burial will be held at Maple Hill Cemetery on Monday, April 13, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Survivors include his sister, Debra (Rusty) Goodpaster; sister-in-law, Tracey Faulk-Freitag; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews along with family in Liverpool, England and Wisconsin.
