Mildred L. "Millie" Ross

Mildred "Millie" Louise Ross, 80, of Plainfield, IN was called to heaven by her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 28th, 2022. She was born on December 24th, 1941 in Danville, IN to Albert and Doshia Monday. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Bible Study, where one of her last good deeds was to help a family in need for Christmas. Millie enjoyed being an artist for her husband, Earl's Woodcraft company, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, playing Euchre with her girlfriends, racking up the Bingo Bucks, shopping sprees, watching hummingbirds feed and anything lavender. She worked several jobs through the years where she made an endless amount of friends. Her first job was with R&S (Secretary), Earl's Woodcraft Company and firewood, delivered papers for the Flyer, Projected Sound, and retired from Indiana Law Enforcement Academy (Housekeeping). She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert & Doshia Monday; husband, Earl Ross Sr.; son, Daniel Ross; son, Larry Ross; daughter, Angela Ross. Survivors include daughter, Lori (Jim) Scott; son, Earl "Lee" Ross Jr. (Betty) & Louie Patrick; 7 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.  Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon on Friday, March 4, 2022 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Friday from 10:00 am until service time at noon.  Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.
