Nadine Kemp

February 27, 1928 — November 28, 2021

Nadine Kemp loving mother of four children, passed away at the age of 93. Nadine was born Virginia Nadine Revis on February 27, 1927 in Cicero, IN to William (Billy) and Florence Lorenz Revis. She was married to Gene Darrell Kemp and raised four sons, Gerry, Kirk, Douglas, and Jay.

She loved camping and traveling. Her favorite places were lakes in the mountains. She was active in the Plainfield Friends (Quaker) Meetng, and Western Yearly Meetngs. She loved quiltng and was a founding member of the Women’s Quilt Retreat at Quaker Haven Camp. Nadine was preceded in death by her parents William and Florence Revis, sister Ivajean Smeltzer, and son Gerry. She is survived by three sons, Kirk of Arvada, CO, Douglas of Plainfield, IN, and Jay (Melisa) of Litchfield, IL. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Benjamin Owens of Keizer, OR, William Kemp of

Litchfield, IL, Kris Lovas of Jacksonville, FL, and Lauren Owen of Chicago; a great granddaughter, Sheena Turner; and 4 great great grandchildren, Reece Chappell, Kloe Chappell, Brayden Chappell and Isabelle Turner. Memorial Services will be held at Plainfield Friends Meetng, 105 S. East Street, Plainfield, IN 46168 on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 3:00 pm, where friends may call on Saturday from 1:00 pm until service time at 3:00 pm. Throughout our lives as her sons made mistakes, errors, and lapses in judgment, as we made great strides and accomplishments, as we faltered and were all too human, she never faltered in her love of her sons. We will miss you Mom and your unconditional love. In your passing we can only vow to emulate and model the love you gave us.
