Nancy Marilyn Downey

Nancy Marilyn Downey, 93, of Denton, TX, formerly of Plainfield, passed away August 1, 2024. She was born May 21, 1931 to the late Buel and Della (Butler) Richie in Connersville, IN. She married Charles F. Downey on August 29, 1947. He preceded her in death on July 31, 2003, along with her daughter, Cheri Lynn Downey on March 9, 2016. Marilyn is survived by her son, Charles C. (Tereas) Downey of Texas; a daughter, Pamela (Max) Gregory; 8 grandchildren, Angela (Charles) Dorman, Dawn (Jason) Mintzer, Rhiannon (Alex) Kirkendall, Hollie Kirkendall, Ryan Shover, Curt Cox, Carly Cox, and Kenzi Dorman; and a great grandchild, Aidan Kirkendall. Funeral services will be at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Wednesday from 5:00 pm until service time at 7:00 pm. A private burial will take place on Thursday at Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.
