Nancy Smallwood

Nancy Smallwood, 86, of Plainfield, passed away on June 27, 2024 surrounded by loving family members.  She was born on November 12, 1937 in Indianapolis to the late William and Mary Samuels.  Nancy graduated from Ben Davis High School in 1956.  She was a dedicated homemaker for her husband and children.  Nancy enjoyed playing card games, feeding the birds and visiting with people.  She was known for being a great cook.  Nancy loved spending time with her family especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was a lifelong member of  Lakeview Church and a steadfast follower of Jesus.  Funeral services will be on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at 1:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may visit from 11:00 am until the time of services at 1:00 pm.  Entombment will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Survivors include her loving husband, John Smallwood; son, Stacy (Lilliam) Smallwood; daughter, Ginger Smallwood; sister, Linda Hill; grandchildren, Abbey, Zach and Audra Smallwood; great grandchildren, Easton, Emersyn and Enslee Smallwood.    In lieu of flowers you may make a donation to any ministry at Lakeview Church, 47 Beachway Dr., Indianapolis, IN 46224).
