Patricia Butler

Patricia Bulter, age 93, of Plainfield, peacefully departed this life in the early morning hours of May 24, 2026. She was born on June 14, 1932 in Anderson, Indiana to the late Charles Thompson and Olive (Winstead) Thompson. She worked as a secretary for several years while raising her children with her husband, James Butler, who passed in 1997. In her spare time, Patricia really enjoyed knitting and playing cards. She was part of a Euchre card club for over 70 years with the same group of ladies, who played on a weekly basis. Patricia is preceded in death by her loving husband, James Butler; son, James A. Butler. Memorial services will be held at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home on Friday, June 5, 2026 beginning at 2:00 p.m., where family and friends may visit from 12:00 noon until time of services. Inurnment will follow to Maple Hill Cemetery. Survivors include her daughter, Jill Colbert; brother, Russell Thompson; grandsons, Ryan (Brittnie) Colbert and Trent (Rebecca) Colbert; five great grandchildren, Caleb, Addy, Cason, Harper and Silas.
