Patrick R. Olmstead

Patrick R. Olmstead, age 83, of Avon, passed away on June 27, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 24, 1942 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Marion and Rosamary (Worrell) Olmstead. Pat was a 1960 graduate of Avon High School. He worked as a marketing manager for Ingersoll Rand and FMC, formerly known as Link Belt, for several decades. Pat is preceded in death by a son, Brian Olmstead; brother, Michael Olmstead; sister, Julia Skaggs; and grandchild, David Hood. A Celebration of Life will be held at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 3:00 p.m., where family and friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until time of services. Survivors include his loving wife, Jan Olmstead; children, Patrick M. Olmstead, Bridget (Thomas) Hood, Candace (Bryan) Shaffer and Brandy (Edwin) Garcia; grandchildren, Bradley, Jason, Josey, James, Richard, Sam, Finnegan, Harrison, Marshall, Aidan, Ashton, Bailey, Emily and Alexia; and 4 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mary Lee Maier Community Pantry; or have a meal with your friends and family as Pat would have wanted.
