Phyllis J. Butler

Phyllis J. Butler, 84, of Plainfield, passed away on October 25, 2019.  She was born on May 9, 1935 in Indianapolis to the late James Sr. and Merle Butler.  Phyllis was a 1953 Plainfield High School graduate.  She was an accountant for Glenn & Kuehn and also worked for the Ben Franklin store.  Phyllis loved cats, classical music and fishing.  She was a kite enthusiast.  Phyllis was a season ticket holder for the Indiana Fever and the local hockey team in Indianapolis.  She was a huge I.U. basketball fan as well.  Phyllis was preceded in death by her brothers, James Jr. and Ben Butler; nephew, Jimmy Butler.  Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 6:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may visit from 4:00 pm until time of service.  Survivors include her niece, Jill Colbert; sisters in law, Patty Butler and Sharon Caille.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Sheltering Wings (1251 Sycamore Lane, Danville, IN 46122).
