Ralph Fugate

Ralph Fugate, 88, of Plainfield, passed away on March 9, 2020. He was born on November 19, 1931 in Hancock County, TN to the late Hugh and Florence Fugate. Ralph was a sheet metal worker for the local #20 for 27 years retiring in 1993. He was one of the founding members of the Calvary Bible Wesleyan Church in Plainfield. Ralph could fix anything. He enjoyed gardening and sharing the produce with his friends and family. Ralph and Betty liked to travel as often as they could. He supported many missionaries through the church over the years. Ralph liked to help take care of the elderly even in his elder years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Fugate; daughter, Joy Frownfelter; daughter in law, Stephanie Fugate; several brothers and sisters. Visitation will be Thursday, March 12, 2020 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday, March 13, at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Survivors include his sons, Chuck and Jeff (Karen) Fugate; daughters, Pam (Don) Blowers, Vickie (Tom) Colford; brothers, Bruce and Clay Fugate; 12 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.
