Randall Scott McKnight

April 15, 1970 — December 27, 2025

Avon

Randall Scott McKnight went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 27, 2025. He was born on April 15, 1970 in Connersville, Indiana to Bruce McKnight and Judy (Shelton) McKnight.

Scott worked diligently as a chemical addman for Sumco Electroplating LLC in Indianapolis for 12 years. He was an avid coin collector, enjoyed using his metal detector wherever he could, and loved fishing.

The aim of Scott’s life was, and continues to be, to glorify his Lord. For many years he was a faithful and devoted member of Plainfield Bible Church. On most Sundays, he was the first to arrive and one of the last to leave. As a humbled recipient of God’s unfailing love, he shared that love with others and strived to make them feel welcomed. He worked tirelessly to spread the good news about salvation in Jesus Christ and to build up his fellow believers in Christ. He led the church’s outreach ministry to the inmates at the Hendricks County jail, served as a greeter, helped with children’s ministry, and worked hard to keep the church building clean and to make it a hospitable environment for ministry. He also enjoyed serving on church mission trips where he utilized his skills to glorify God as he served others. Scott loved his Lord, his family, and his church. He lived his life seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33). His life was fueled by the knowledge that His Savior lived the perfectly righteous life none of us could ever live, died to pay the eternal penalty he deserved for his sins, and rose from the dead so that Scott could live in newness of life and be able to enter into the eternal glory he now will enjoy forever.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Plainfield Bible Church (752 Dan Jones Rd. Plainfield, IN 46168) on Saturday January 17th, 2026 doors will open at 10:00am for visitation with the family and service will start at 11:00am.
