Richard J. Haas

Richard J. Haas, age 80, passed away on January 13, 2026. He was born in Rochester, New York on June 1, 1945 to the late Walter J. Haas and Marie (Finn) Haas. Richard honorably served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He later married Joyce Ann Kersey on April 25, 1981 and were happily married for what would have been 45 years this coming April. Richard worked as an air traffic controller in his earlier years, later owned and operated his own business and lastly worked at Home Depot before retiring. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid pool player. Richard was also a collector of sorts: coins, stamps, vinyl records and baseball cards to name a few. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren. There will be no visitation or services. Survivors include his loving wife, Joyce Ann Haas; son, John (Erin) Haas; sister, Margaret Haas; two grandchildren, Willow and Declan Haas.
