Robert Lee Crews

Robert Lee Crews, age 57, of Plainfield, passed away on February 13, 2026. He was born on April 12, 1968 in Danville, Indiana. Robert worked as a truck driver for Dayton Freight for several years. He enjoyed being outdoors, sitting around a campfire with family and friends. Robert also was a jack of all trades, mostly rebuilding small engines on various items such as lawnmowers, etc. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Crews Sr. and Laura (Middleton) Rhude. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 23, 2026 at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home beginning at 1:00 p.m., where family and friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until time of services. Burial will follow to Maple Hill Cemetery. Survivors include his loving wife, Lisa (Krug) Crews; daughter, Elizabeth Crews; son, Casey Crews; sister, Kim Spaulding; several friends and extended family members.
