Robert E. Reemer

Robert E. Reemer, 84, of Plainfield, passed away on July 30, 2020 with his loving wife by his side.  He was born in Andrews, IN to the late Edward "Butch" and Mildred Reemer.  Robert graduated from Andrews High School in 1954.  He was an United States Air Force veteran.  While in the service he was stationed in Okinawa and then Lincoln, NE as a radio/radar operator.  In 1959 Robert began his career as an Air Traffic 
Controller at the Indianapolis International Airport retiring in 1989 as a supervisor.  He was an avid sports fan and was a longtime supporter of the Detroit Tigers, Indiana Hoosiers and Indianapolis Colts.  Robert enjoyed golfing, fishing, traveling and was known as a history buff.  He loved being surrounded by his extended family of children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Robert is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Jennie Reemer; children, Tracie, Craig (Ronda), Penni (Mark), Pammi (Greg) and Debora (Chris); 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and his baby sister, Marcia, who truly adored her big brother.  He was preceded in death by sisters, Ellen, Betty, Barbara Jean and Colleen; a son, Rick Reemer.  In lieu of flowers to the family contributions may be sent to the charity of your choice.  A Celebration of Life will be at a later date.
