Ronald Ricketts

Rev Ronald Ricketts, 94, Plainfield, Indiana, passed away December 29, 2019. He was the son of the late Carl and Ethel Ricketts of Columbus, Indiana.

Rev Ricketts was a retired American Baptist Minister, serving churches in Oklahoma, Illinois, and Indiana. He retired from ministry after serving as the Minister of Lynhurst Baptist Church of Indianapolis for over 25 years. He was an Air Force Chaplain, and served as an Indianapolis and Plainfield Police Department Chaplain. He was an avid bicyclist, and an umpire for volleyball and baseball.

Rev Ricketts is survived by his wife of 71 years, Helen Frances, his children Dora Elizabeth Ricketts and Frank Lee Ricketts, his grandaughter Carole ( Matt ) Corey, and great grand daughter Bailey Ryan Corey.

Services will be held at Lynhurst Baptist Church, 1250 South Lynhurst Drive, Indianapolis on Friday, January 3, 2020. Visitation is at 5:00 pm and the service is at 7:00 pm.

Private burial will be held on Saturday at Fairmount Cemetery in Madison, Indiana.
