Rudolf "Rudy" F.L. Hoellein

Rudolf Franz Louis Hoellein, 81, of Carmel, passed away December 27, 2022.  He was born May 1, 1941 to the late Ernst and Marta (Geisler) Hoellein in Linden, Germany.  In 1961 he immigrated to the United States of America after completing his apprenticeship as a watchmaker.  He met Jutta, his loving wife of 55 years, after serving his time in the US Army.  Besides Jutta, he is also survived by his daughters Monique Baez and Nicole Hoellein; and 3 grandchildren, Maylen and Lucia Baez and Rudy Hoellein.  An extremely talented watchmaker and self taught jeweler, his greatest career accomplishment was opening Rudy's Watch & Jewelry Repair.  He was well known and loved by his friends in the jewelry and watch industry.  He and Jutta sang with the Indianapolis Liederkranz choirs and they spent years traveling the globe with friends.  He will be missed by his family and friends in the United States and Germany.  Memorial services will be held at 5:00 pm on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at the Connection Pointe Christian Church, 1800 N. Green St., Brownsburg, IN 46112, and where friends may call at the church from 3:00 pm until service time at 5:00 pm.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Indianapolis Liederkranz Musical Club, 1417 E.
