Sandra K. Smith

Sandra K. Smith, 78, of Indianapolis, passed away November 16, 2022.  She was born December 5, 1943 to the late Robert and Alta (Roe) Young in Indianapolis, IN.  She lived in Tuscon Arizona from age 8-15.  She graduated from Arsenal Technical High School.  Sandra and her husband Lyndon appeared on a local dance program like the American Bandstand in 1959.  She was a member of the Avon Parkside Church of the Nazarene and the Eastern Star.  She was a homemaker and loved to cook and sew and host family gatherings. She is preceded in death by her brother; William E. Young.  Sandra is survived by her husband, Lyndon Wayman Smith; two daughters, Lisa McPheron and Amy (Steve) Blaschke; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer (Dustin) Mugg, Kelly (Daniel) Brickert, AnnaKay Blaschke, Mitchell Blaschke and Stephanie Blaschke; and 8 great grandchildren, Jocelyn, Lilia and Everett Mugg, Brooklyn Harville, Kaitlyn Spears, Saralyn Spears, Miley Spears and Rachael Brickert; and a great great granddaughter, Macie Poffenbarger.  Funeral services will be on Monday, November 21, 2022 at 1:00 pm in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Monday from 11:00 am until service time at 1:00 pm.  Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery, Indianapolis.
