Scott G. Moster, 47, of Plainfield, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026. He was born on August 22, 1978 in Indianapolis to Greg and Kay Moster. Scott graduated with honors in 1996 from Plainfield High School. He won the mental attitude award for the 1996 Plainfield High School Regional Championship basketball team. Scott is a 4 x 100 record holder in track for Plainfield High School as well. He graduated from DePauw University and played basketball for DePauw his freshman year. Scott was the Alumni Relations Chair at Alpha Tau Omega. He enjoyed camping and going to music festivals in his free time. Scott loved his family and friends, especially his childhood friends, who his mother called "The Boys". He was one of the kindest people you knew. Scott had a heart for the homeless and recently told the family he's been helping the homeless people out around town. If Scott could tell you one more thing, he would tell you to "be kind for no reason". He helped build the Jimmy John's in Plainfield and worked there for the past 15 plus years. Scott was preceded in death by his father, Greg Moster. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026 at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Survivors include his mother, Kay Moster; brother, Josh (Britt) Moster; cousins, Jeff, Debbie and Angie; many friends.
