Scott Daniel Lutocka, 66, of Plainfield, passed away on October 26, 2026. He was born on January 5, 1960, in Teaneck, New Jersey, to Warren Lutocka and Frances (Smith) Fox.

Scott shared a loving marriage with his wife, Penny, and the two had just celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in September. Their four decades together were a testament to their faith and enduring love for one another. Scott was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who treasured the time he spent with his family and the many meaningful relationships he built throughout his life.

Scott attended John Marshall High School and graduated from Ball State University. He spent several years working as a facility manager in food services. His faith was an important part of his life, and he was a member of Plainfield Christian Church. Scott was also proud to be an Eagle Scout and served his early community as a volunteer firefighter. He enjoyed gathering with others through the Christian Business Men’s Connection and various retired part-time positions including Plainfield Parks Department and Grill Palace at Sullivan's, where he shared fellowship and camaraderie.

Outside of work, Scott had a true passion for grilling. He was, without a doubt, a Grill Master who loved preparing delicious food and bringing people together around the table. During holiday gatherings, family and friends could always look forward to his famous bread pudding, a beloved recipe that became a special part of their celebrations. Scott also enjoyed attending Symphony on the Prairie at Conner Prairie during the summer months with his famous brisket on the Prairie. He cherished spending time with his grandchildren and took great joy in watching them grow.

Scott’s warmth, generous spirit, love of family, and gift for bringing people together will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. The memories he created, from holiday meals and backyard cookouts to family celebrations and cheering from the sidelines will remain treasured.

Survivors include his loving wife, Penny Lutocka; his children, Daniel (Elizabeth) Lutocka and Allison (Alan) Hemmelgarn; his parents, Warren Lutocka and Frances Fox; his sisters, Cindy Rowe, Beth Ann Lutocka, and Debbie Bergman; and his five beloved grandchildren, Clark, Andrew, Anne, Mackenzie, and James.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place at the funeral home on Friday, October 30, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow in northern Hamilton County.
