Sharon Ann Hartman

Sharon Ann Hartman, 78, of Plainfield, passed away on April 3, 2021.  She was born on April 5, 1942 in Monroeville, IN to Glenn and Vera Merica.  Sharon graduated from Ball State University with a Master's in Education.  She started her teaching career at Lake Central High School and finished as a substitute teacher for 30 years in the Plainfield Community Schools.  Sharon enjoyed reading and crocheting in her free time.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  Sharon was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lloyd Hartman II.  Visitation will be Friday, April 9, 2021 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home.  Funeral services and burial in Maple Hill Cemetery will be private.  Survivors include her mother, Vera Merica; daughter, Kim (Curtis) Lawson; sons, Darren (Michelle), Jeffrey (Jessica) and Eric (Kelly) Hartman; brothers, Larry (Pat) and Jay (Lois) Merica; 8 grandchildren.
