Shawn Alan Boyd

Shawn Alan Boyd, 54, of Stilesville, passed away December 13, 2022.  He was born July 3, 1968 in Muncie, IN.  He was a 1986 graduate of Plainfield High School.  He was a self-employed carpet layer for most of his career and later became a dock worker for UPS.  Shawn was a beloved son, husband, brother, and friend to many.  He was curious about the world, and loved nature, animals, music, and the outdoors.  Shawn was a kind and good-natured soul, and a storyteller with a great sense of humor.  We will miss his quick wit, his ability to make us laugh with his stories, and his kindness. He never held a grudge. He was a friend to everyone he met. Shawn is survived by his wife, K.T. Boyd; his mother, Kathy E. (DeBaun) Bennett and her husband Leo, and a sister, Brandy Bennett.  He was preceded in death by his father, Tim Boyd. Funeral services were on Saturday, December 17, 2022 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield from 12:00 noon until service time at 2:00pm.
