Stanley Wood

Stanley E. Wood, 75, of Plainfield, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2026.  He was born on January 9, 1951 in Indianapolis to the late Marvin and Edna Wood.  Stanley had several jobs over the years and retired in 2011 from Red Cat as a line loader.  He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting and watching TV in his free time.  Stanley was preceded in death by his wife, Stella Wood.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at 1:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may visit from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm.  Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Survivors include his son, Steven Wood; daughter, Stacy (Rob) Redenbaugh; brothers, Roger and Randy Wood; sister, Pamela Whitlow.
