Stephen R. Slattery

Stephen R. Slattery, 41, of Plainfield, passed away October 21, 2017.  He was born August 20, 1976 in Des Moines, IA.  He was a 1994 graduate of Plainfield High School, and later received his Associates Degree from ITT in HVAC.  He was a member of the NRA.  He worked 23 years as a HVAC technician, his last four years withe T.A. Kaiser Heating and Cooling.  Steve is survived by his mother, Karen Sue (Golden) Slattery; two sisters, Laurie M. (John) Thommen and Darlene Renee (Sean) Collis; his grandmother, Gladys M. (Zimmerman) Golden; two nephews, Phillip and Josh Auer; and two great nieces, Allyson Auer and Claire Kelly-Auer.  He was preceded in death by his father, Richard E. Slattery Jr. and a grandmother, Peggy M. Parks.    Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 26, 2017 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield.  Funeral services will be at 10:30 am on Friday, October 27 in the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
