Sylvia Shake

Sylvia G. Shake, 97, of Plainfield, passed away on May 6, 2023.  She was born on December 11, 1925 in Pulaski County, KY to the late Zach and Susan Roy.  Sylvia was a dedicated homemaker and retired from RCA in her later years.  She enjoyed talking to people and collecting porcelain dolls.  Sylvia loved spending time with her family as often as she could.  She was preceded in death by her loving husbands, Homer Phipps, Duvern Shake and 17 brothers and sisters.  Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 1:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may visit from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm.  Burial will follow in Floral Park Cemetery.  Survivors include her step children, Terry (Mona) Shake, Gina (Steve) Gibbs and Phyllis (Charlie) Barnes; several step grandchildren; several step great grandchildren; several step great great grandchildren.
