Teresa E. Dodds

Teresa E. Dodds, age 64, passed away in the evening hours of March 25, 2026. She was born on May 22, 1961 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Homer Shaw and Gloria (Ford) Shaw. Teresa received her Master's degree in Education and worked for Indianapolis Public Schools for over 37 years. She was a long time member of Grace Pointe Church of the Nazarene. Teresa enjoyed scrap-booking, cooking, crafting, and decorating cakes. It was quite seldom if she missed any of her nieces or nephews sporting events when they were growing up. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother, Gloria Shaw; brother-in-law, Chuck Fisher. Visitation hours will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow on Friday, April 3, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow to West Ridge Park Cemetery. Survivors include her loving husband, James Dodds; father, Homer Shaw; daughter, Janice (Robert) Meuir; grandmother, Ruth E. Ford; brother, Jeff (Julie) Shaw; sister, Lori Fisher; granddaughter, Charlie Meuir; sister-in-law, Sharon Wise; nieces and nephews, Nicholas (Alyssa) Fisher, Nicole (Rob) Walker, Garrett Shaw and Reagan Shaw, Nate (Lauren) Saloh, Zach (Maggie) Saloh; great niece and nephew, Elowyn Walker and Beckett Fisher.
