Virginialee Vinci, age 100, passed away on March 30, 2026. She was born on November 12, 1925 to the late Bertram J. Carmack and Minnie Rita (Bell) Carmack in Richmond, Indiana. Virginialee attended Butler University and later worked as a secretary for Chronis Jewelry Store for many years. She was a member of the Brownsburg chapter Eastern Star and D.A.R. (Daughters of American Revolutionaries). She enjoyed riding/showing horses, ice skating with the winter club at the Corteva Coliseum at the Indiana State Fair Grounds, and was a master seamstress. When she was younger, she volunteered as a Candy Striper for Methodist Hospital, offering non-clinical support to patients. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her former husband, Michael Vinci; son, Michael A. Vinci. Visitation hours will be held on Monday, April 6, 2026 at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 (noon). Graveside services will follow to Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis. Survivors include her daughters, Madonna (Scott) Ruby, Jo Ann (Jeff) Mongan, Rita Diane (Phillip Gibson) Vinci; Six grandchildren, Vincent Ruby (Caitlin), Nicholas Ruby (Haley), Luca Ruby (Dani), Jennifer Mongan, Rachel Morris; two great grandchildren, Mateo Ruby and Layla Ruby. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
