Wanda E. Rawnsley

March 30, 1930 — January 4, 2023

Wanda (Peach) Eileen Rawnsley, 92, of Plainfield, passed away peacefully at the home of her son, Mike, on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at 11:32 PM. Born March 30, 1930 in Lawrence County, IN, Peach was the daughter of the late Alvin True and Ora (Baugh) True. She married Robert Wayne Rawnsley on August 11, 1947.  Wanda was a dedicated wife and mother and was an active member of Bethany Christian Fellowship where she led Bible Studies and taught Sunday School Classes.  She was an avid golfer and was an active member of the Brown County Women’s Retreat Planning Team. She leaves behind many dear and precious friends from the Chapel, the retreat, and from the golfing community.  She is survived by her son: Michael Wayne (Audrey) Rawnsley of Fishers;  three grandchildren: Steven Rawnsley of Lapel,  Stephanie Rawnsley of New York City,  and Stacie Rawnsley of  Fishers ; and also surviving    is a sister Linda (True) Kelley. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Rawnsley;  brothers: Carlton True, Donald True, Kenneth True, Fred True, and sister Olive True.  Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 7th at 1:00 at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home in Plainfield with visitation from 11:00 - 1:00 preceding the services, with burial immediately following at Maple Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethany Christian Fellowship, 6455 Churchman Ave, Indianapolis, Indiana 46237.
