Wayne Record

Wayne Record, 99, of Avon, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026. He was born on October 17, 1926, in Bridgeport, Indiana to the late John and Lora Record. Wayne was a dedicated, lifelong farmer in Hendricks County. He enjoyed gardening, landscaping, fishing, woodworking, going to the casino, and watching sports. Wayne loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Pauline Record; brothers, Carl and Howard Record; sisters, Rosie Davis, Onie Jay and Mary Redmond; great grandson, Owen Paul Record. Funeral services will be on Monday, March 9, 2026 at 1:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may visit from 11:00 am until the time of services at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Survivors include his sons, Charles (Shelly) and Paul (Janice) Record; grandchildren, David (Rachel) Record, Nathan (Sara) Record, Megan (Bob) Schaffner and Sarah Record; great grandchildren, Patrick Schaffner, Caleb Schaffner, Anderson Record, Elise Schaffner, Josie Record and Eli Record. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Traditions at Reagan Park and Luminary Hospice.
