William E. Hatfield Jr.

William E. Hatfield Jr., age 87, passed away on September 24, 2025. He was born on June 22, 1938 in Westbourne, Tennessee to the late William E. Hatfield Sr. and Opie (Sammons) Hatfield. William was a member of the Hazelwood Baptist Church for many years. He was a contract home builder during his prime. William enjoyed wood working, singing, fishing and was a jack of all trades, he could build anything and everything. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Hatfield; son, William Coy Hatfield; brother, James Hatfield; sisters, Janette (Coy) Kibbey, Ruby (Bill) Bachman, Elizabeth Nezelek and Margie (Wayne) Fields. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at the Hazelwood Baptist Church (9838 S. County Road 0, Clayton, IN 46118) beginning at 4:00 p.m., where family and friends may visit from 2:00 p.m. until time of services. Inurnment will be at a later date. Survivors include his wife, Ruth (Harbin) Hatfield; children, Brenda (Steve) Hardy, Keith E. Hatfield Sr., Trina (Buck) Wilson, David (Theresa) Hatfield; sister, Mildred (Bill) Murrell; daughter in-law, Hattie Hatfield; sister in-law, DeeDee Hatfield; brother in-law, Butch Nezelek; 7 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
