Willis Pruett

Willis M. Pruett, 85, of Plainfield, passed away on February 25, 2025.  He was born on May 26, 1939 in Scottsburg, IN to the late John W. and Mary Pruett.  Willie was a United States Army veteran.  He retired in 2001 from Utility Peterbuilt.  Willie was a member of the St. Augustine Episcopal Church, Past Master of the Plainfield Masonic Lodge #653 and was a Worthy Patron of the Plainfield Eastern Star #414.  He enjoyed gardening, college sports, NASCAR and putting puzzles together.  Willie loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty Pruett and brothers, Billy, John R., Lloyd and Marshall Pruett. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at St. Augustine Episcopal Church in Danville, Indiana (600 N. Washington St.) at 1:00 p.m., where family and friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Survivors include his children, John (Christina) Pruett, Trish (Russ) Spicer and Beth Pruett; brother, Donald Pruett; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren with 1 on the way!  In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the St. Augustine Episcopal Church in Danville, Indiana (600 N. Washington St.) or the Plainfield Masonic Lodge #653.
