Diane Burr

  Diane Marie (Politte) Burr, age 65, of Plainfield, Indiana formerly of Bonne Terre, passed away Friday, April 9, 2021.  She was born on January 6, 1956, to Robert “Bob” and Loretta (Timko) Politte.

     Diane graduated from South East Missouri State University with a Degree in Elementary Education. She was a member of St. Susanna Catholic Church in Plainfield Indiana. Diane was kind, generous and was always thinking of others.  She loved sending cards to people for all the holidays.  She enjoyed traveling to Branson to watch live shows, going to Beef and Board Dinner Theater in Indianapolis, collecting and reading Danielle Steel Books, reading magazines, watching the St. Louis Cardinal’s and Indianapolis Colts.   

     She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert “Bob” and Loretta Politte; father-in-law, Charlie Burr and a nephew, Adam House.

     Diane is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Richard Burr; beloved daughter, Jennifer Lynn Thomas and husband Tim; four grandchildren, Hailey Grace Thomas, Kayla Rose Thomas, Ryan Matthew Thomas and Noah Andrew Thomas; sister, Jeanine House and husband Steve; sister-in-law, Linda Burr and mother-in-law, Pearl Burr.

      Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre.  Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Friday, April 16, 2021 from 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM. With Rev. Stephen F. Bauer officiating.  Burial to follow at Bonne Terre Cemetery. Face mask required at the funeral home.
