George C. Sherry

George C. Sherry, 86, of New Port Richey, FL, passed away April 26, 2021.  He was born November 28, 1934 to the late John and Mabel (Kingham) Sherry in Indianapolis, IN.  He was a US Army veteran of the Cold War Period and was stationed in Alaska (when it became a State in 1959) at the Dew Line between Russia and the US.  He worked over 30 years for Allisons Division of GM in graphic arts retiring in 1983.  George is survived by three brothers, Frank E. (Dianna) Taylor, Jack (Rossella) Taylor and Carl (Anne) Taylor; and a sister, Shirley (Owen) Burch.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ann Butterworth.  Memorial services will be held at a later date in New Port Richey, FL.  Arrangements by Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield.
